About

WE ARE HERE to...

Create the world we should
have grown up in.

We tell the stories that weren’t always heard — and listen to what the world tried to silence.
Aunt Nell exists to protect and amplify the stories that shape who we are.
We believe storytelling isn’t decoration — it’s resistance, memory and imagination.
Through podcasts, live experiences and collaborations, we create spaces where people can truly listen — with care, curiosity and compassion.
By listening differently, we begin to understand differently.

Values

From podcasts to events, from talks to training, storytelling is the heart of what we do, underpinned by our five values:

  • Listening as care

  • Memory as method

  • Creativity as resistance

  • Community as collaboration

  • Care as courage

Approach

We care for stories and the communities that hold them. These four approaches are how we do it:

  • We listen

Human stories deserve to be heard. We create space to listen to what the world tried to silence.

  • We take time

We make work that takes time. Through deep listening and collaboration, we create stories that hold people — and last.

  • We traverse history

We work across time to honour voices excluded from history — and shape stories that reimagine the future.

  • We’re different

Our existence is a resistance. We create work in defiance of a world that wants speed, silence, and sameness.
